Giant Moa (extinct, flightless bird), native to New Zealand. The Moa were the only wingless birds, lacking even vestigial wings. Until the arrival of Man to New Zeland they were hunted only by the giant-Haast's eagle. They were driven to extinction by the 15th Century.
